Unfortunately, RuPaul’s Drag Race season 15 star Mistress Isabelle Brooks’s Instagram account got suspended again. This time, some drag queens are stepping up and calling out internet bullies who are causing the chaos during such healthy competition.
Mistress Isabelle Brooks’s Instagram Has Been Suspended Multiple Times
It seems that fans are getting fond of reporting divas from RuPaul’s Drag Race season 15 more specifically Mistress, on Instagram. As one of the queens who have shared a harmless conflict against other contestants, Mistress appears to have angered some supporters. Apparently, her Instagram account has been suspended recently, with the incident not being the first time that happened to her.
The suspension issue took place after a ridiculous and inoffensive argument happened between Mistress and Marcia Marcia Marcia. Thus, several fans suspect that Marcia’s fans have something to do with the unlucky circumstance.
Mistress has evidently been receiving a lot of hate coming from a spoken portion of the Drag Race fanbase. In a positive light, many supporters have called out the anonymous internet users who were responsible for Mistress’s account suspension.
Marcia Urges Fans to Stop Bullying Co-Drag Queen
On Instagram, Marcia recently uploaded a video addressing the present issue. In the post, she appealed to her fans to stop reporting Mistress’s account.
“Obviously I don’t have any kind of physical evidence that my fans are the ones doing this because you’re all bullies hiding behind anonymous reporting practices,” she said. “But I can only assume that it is because we’ve had the most recent conflict.”
The drag queen reiterated that she doesn’t support any hate-driven action done by her fans. She went on and stated that she feels awful that she can’t do anything to help Mistress with the situation.
“You are literally attacking a person you do not know for something that literally happened, like, a year ago,” she said. “And this kind of abuse isn’t just affecting Mistress. Shocker of the century – it is disproportionately affecting the queens in our cast who are not thin white people.”
In the end, Marcia admitted how this time in the competition has been the most exhausting thing. Indeed, such uncalled-for instance should not happen once more or to any drag queen. More than anything, people must foster compassion and empathy to create a safer space for the queer community.
